Speaking of tales – our Big Alaska Guest Tourists, Pat and Dave Huff from Saginaw, TX try to answer our Tall Alaska Tale (we warned them – we’re eligible to win our own prizes!)

Kurt Riemann from Surreal Studios fingerprints are all over this from his Merry Christmas From Alaska #3 with Hobo Jim’s “Silent Night” to the “Amazing Musical Hands of Mr. Steve Stripling” (which he named!).

Celebrate the 17th Big Alaska Show Anniversary!

This plaque is posted at the Breeze Inn Bar to commemorate our Big Alaska Show beginnings! Our Show started at the Polar Bear Jump Off in Seward, AK for the American Cancer Society 17 years ago at the Breeze Inn. We had BIG plans for our debut. But equipment failure set us on a course as the longest running, mistaken ridden radio show in Alaska's history that continues to this day.

Listen to this lively podcast of clips from past Polar Bear Jump Off Shows!

Interview with Vic Fischer

Vic Fischer’s life story reads like a real-life Forrest Gump, with appearances by Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Eleanor Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Saul Alinsky and many more, together with everyone in the whole history of Alaska from statehood to the present day. A great read by a great Alaskan. (Brian Rogers, Chancellor, University of Alaska Fairbanks)

Co-author, Charles Wohlforth, joins Vic to talk about his book.

Steve and Mike with 2018 best radio show award

We celebrate our 15th Anniversary the same way we celebrated our first-

in Seward, AK for the 36th Polar Bear Jump for the American Cancer Society.

Covid changed this year’s Jump. But we’re still honoring the ACS of Alaska and our 15th Anniversary playing clips from the past.

We only scratched the surface but it’s a fun show! Seward, AK we look forward to seeing you in 2022!
